06 Oct Now Hiring: Criminal Justice Caseworker
Basic Function:
- To act as liaison between CRI-Help and the Criminal Justice System and to assist the Senior Intake Specialist in scheduling and conducting interviews and admissions into Cri-Help’s residential program.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all court letters, court orders, progress reports, discharge reports and other information requested by the designated criminal justice agency.
- Maintain public relations with all criminal justice agencies.
- Provide program presentations to criminal justice agencies under the direction of the Senior Intake Specialist.
- Apply knowledge of criminal justice system as needed.
- Pick up custody releases from incarceration facilities and transport them to CRI-Help.
- Transport clients to probation, parole, DMV, Social Security or other agencies as needed.
- Maintain inactive client files.
- Assist Senior Intake Specialist with scheduling and conducting interviews and admissions.
- Assist Senior Intake Specialist with community outreach and events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by The Senior Intake Specialist.

Education/Training:
Degree: High School diploma or equivalent.
Major: Minimum one year of related education at accredited institute of higher learning. Enrolled in a chemical dependency studies program that would satisfy the academic requirements for certification, or certification (CSAC).
Experience:
One year of related experience required.
Certifications/Licenses:
Must have valid California drivers license and auto insurance.
Provide proof of registration as Recovery Worker
Special Conditions:
If a recovering addict/alcoholic must have two years continuous abstinence from drugs and/or alcohol and undergo random drug screening.
