Intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) at CRI-Help provides extensive substance use disorder treatment for clients stepping down from residential treatment or for those individuals requiring more acute care without 24-hour supervision. The intensive outpatient treatment program (IOP) is available for at least nine hours, and up to 19 hours, per week.
Intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) includes the following services:
Groups are tailored based on each client’s individual needs, based on their preliminary assessment. Clients may access services focusing on resolving past-experienced trauma, with clinicians who are trained in using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition, clients participate in workforce readiness programs and obtain assistance to access long-term, recovery housing opportunities, ensuring that the momentum gained in treatment is carried forward post-treatment.
CRI-Help’s Outpatient programs recognize the importance of weaving the family dynamic throughout each client’s treatment episode. Clients and their families may participate in private family therapy sessions, and are encouraged to participate in larger family education and multi-family groups. Our groups allow members of the family to connect directly with their peers and offer mutual support as their loved ones progress in their recovery processes.
CRI-Help’s Outpatient program is widely recognized for its longstanding relationships with local courts, judges, and the district attorney's office. Our clients’ substance use histories are often linked to unresolved and pending legal matters. Our team of care coordinators assist clients to navigate and resolve their legal matters while they are receiving positive support from our team of counselors and therapists, giving clients the confidence that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Each day, we invite our clients to discuss triggers they experience in daily living as they occur. This real-time opportunity to investigate the causes and conditions that increase clients’ cravings allows our clinicians to provide effective and targeted treatments to address these stressors.
With intensive outpatient treatment, our staff strives to have CRI-Help feel like a “second home,” a refuge from the stressors of daily life that could have the potential to endanger early recovery. Outpatient clients are always welcome to use the CRI-Help facilities and participate in open group activities. Our intensive outpatient program equips you or your loved one with the recovery skills to develop a substance-free lifestyle, all while building fellowship within the CRI-Help community.
At CRI-Help, we pride ourselves on making key recovery transitions as smooth as possible, with dynamic levels of support and care each step of the way. In addition to intensive outpatient care, CRI-Help offers flexible outpatient programs spanning daytime and evening treatment options, ranging from nine to 20 hours per week depending on the client’s need and availability.
Traditional outpatient levels of care are also available to clients who have completed residential treatment and desire additional support as they reintegrate back into daily living.
