MAT Services

M.A.T. has faced stigma in some recovery spaces, based on the misconception that a person is simply replacing one drug with another. In reality, M.A.T. is an evidence-based practice, and is not meant to act as a substitute for the other critical elements of recovery, including detox, therapeutic work, skills building, and engagement with community. When combined with counseling, M.A.T. is scientifically proven to improve rates of survival and client retention in treatment programs. This is why CRI-Help offers M.A.T. as a part of its client-tailored treatment protocols.

At CRI-Help, clients receive education about the benefits of medication-assisted treatment during their intake assessment. Clients who may benefit from M.A.T. and are interested in learning more are referred to CRI-Help’s medical staff to be evaluated for different M.A.T. treatment options that are clinically appropriate for their diagnosis. Eligible clients, especially those prone to immediate or recurrent relapse, have the option to receive M.A.T. services as they progress along our continuum of care. All M.A.T services are delivered by medical practitioners, licensed in the state of California, operating under the supervision of CRI-Help’s Medical Director.
